That's It?
So that's it? A Duck Walks Into A Bar part 2?
Craig is just gone? After 15 years no announcement no anything?I'm sure Craig has made many sacrifices for the band that we the fans have no idea about and for many years he regularly kept in touch on the board and through emails even when the band had nothing going on for a long timeHhe kept fans interested.
He always gives his all and was always ready to take the world by storm. It just seems there should be something said officially "and not on twitter" lol
I'm not saying anything bad went on I'm sure AK has his reasons even if it's just having the boys back together. And he obviously doesn't owe me shit.It just seems like it would be the right thing to do.15 years is a long time.
I hope Craig continues with music, he is awesome...Nevermore is looking :)
And Kelly...I hope you've been practicing.Bring the thunder.

Do you have a link to a source for this?

Absolutely ridiculous though, first F&J; lose Mark Simpson straight after him giving the guitar and songwriting performance of his career on 'The Cold', and now they've potentially lost the man who did all the press and generally just interacted with the outside world in a positive way for the band more than any other member.

What a shame, I know it wouldn't kill the band to lose him, but damn, it will miss him.

This is really an Eric AK mission. I will do my best to explain what I can. I do not want to talk out of turn here.
I can't speak for anyone in the band other than myself.

I agree with you Redfly that Craig has done a great job keeping the ball rolling over the years. I don't know all the details but that fact that I was doing what he was doing prior, it is a thankless job. Takes a lot of your personal time and dedication to make it happen. When you are dealing with 5 different people who have 5 different ways to do something and have lives, families and other stuff it is not easy to make it all work. I was asked to step in. I would never ask to step in as I knew when I left it was passed on to Craig and he owned it. Like I have said before this could be the next record and it could be the last. I am just going to do my best to make it all work with a great set of headbanging metal head guys who love this band and won't stop until death.

One more thing.....I don't know if "that's it."
For now it is, down the road who knows......

as much as i liked simpsons song writing i think a reunion like this could leed to some classic material , more euro fests and genraly a better buzz about the band.

The cold was on the 2nd biggest metal label in the world, and won many albums of the month, but there hasnt been any touring to promote it at all. So im all for this reunion.

I would love to see Flotsam play again here in The Netherlands, regerdless the line-up. As long as I can see the band again, the line-up is of lesser importance. And I would also love to see some songs off of "The Cold" during such a gig. And I would definitely love to see Flotsam make a new record in the style of "The Cold", which is my favorite album so far ;-)

So far, so good...?

I'm still waiting for No Place music with Cuatro vocals. Will it ever happen?who knows. But The cold was the first album where I didn't think that.It would be hard to recreate that with the writer of it gone.
Are you talking about Driven Music being the second biggest metal label? or NuclearBlast?Because Nuclear only distributed the album in Europe because Driven was so inept.I would love it if flotsam actually signed to NuclearBlast.

I read where Driven Music Group was in some legal trouble. Apparently Brian Welch is suing the other co-owners for breach of contract or something like that.

that is a huge surprise...not

It's just like Flotz to drop a great album like "The Cold" on us fans and then do nothing in the way of promotion for it. This has been the case since, well...Since Kelly Smith left the band back in '98. Don't get me wrong, alot of it is beyond the bands control, ie; legal issues, bad distribution, band member changes. I'd just like to see this great and timeless Metal band get the recognition and help that they deserve. Nuclear Blast should take these guys on. Hell, they signed Death Angel, Forbidden, Testament, Anthrax, ect; F&J; are definately right up there with these acts!
